Since 1888, Stegmann has produced some of the world's most comfortable and sustainable footwear. Today, our wool clogs are still handcrafted in our private facility in Tirol, Austria. Stegmann utilizes both humanely sourced Merino wool and rare European heritage wools in our wool clogs, ensuring the highest quality materials that are also renewable resources. The cork soles are sustainably harvested in Portugal, and we blend in natural latex (latex tree sap) for added durability and cushioning.
This specific product is a medium-width felted wool clog that runs true to size for most, with a generous toe box. It is made in Austria from Merino wool and natural cork. If you plan to wear socks or have medium to medium/wide feet, we recommend ordering your usual size. For barefoot wear, a narrower foot, or if you prefer a snug fit, we suggest sizing down 1/2 size, as the clog will loosen slightly with wear.
The anatomically shaped cork/latex comfort sole provides arch support, a metatarsal pad, and a toe bar for enhanced comfort. The textured natural rubber outsole offers reliable traction. The total heel height is 1 inch, and the toe platform is 3/4 inch, providing medium firm support.
